Mariette Jessup

LCOS is Mariette’s God-given family … and what a wonderful family it is! 

13 years ago, when Mariette’s son Jaden was 3 years old, they became members of the servant-hearted, joy-filled community that is Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. 

A full-time single mom, with parents both in heaven, Jesus has always been the centre of Mariette and Jaden’s life.  Jesus is their Saviour, Comforter and Provider!   

Precious Peace and Beautiful Blessings, Almighty God has poured upon Mariette and Jaden!  As they continue their journey, they grow in love and obedience. Mariette and Jaden desire for everyone to experience God’s great love and care!

Mariette’s education and professional background is in Marketing and Communications, with several delightful years spent writing/producing/directing television commercials and corporate videos.  When Jaden started school, so did Mariette, working as an Educational Assistant for the past decade.  Mariette accepted the role of Director, Youth and Family Ministry at LCOS on her birthday, September 1st, 2022.  God’s Hand and Blessings have been evident since that first day!   

After Jesus, for Mariette, comes her son Jaden!  He is a wise teenager who fears The Lord, does well in school and loves to be active, enjoying downhill mountain biking and playing football.  Mariette, Jaden and their dog Cuddles love exploring Fish Creek Park together and going on trips that include hiking behind huge waterfalls, kayaking in the Pacific Ocean and coming much too close to a Mama grizzly bear and her 2 cubs!
